As a historic site and long-standing local tradition, the Draper Mercantile has been at the heart of the community for over 125 years. It has housed a general store, post office, blacksmith, milliner, dress shop, barber shop, Mayor's office, pool hall, antiques mart and was a trading post for local farmers. Perhaps the Draper Mercantile's most important and enduring function has been that of a gathering place. This old building has always found a way to bring people together.
